Silent for 37 years, Voyager 1 engines have earned

Voyager 1

The space probe Voyager 1, which left Earth on September 5, 1977, has been exploring outer space for more than four decades, both inside and outside the solar system.

It should be noted that for two decades, it is Voyager 1 that holds the status of the most distant object created by man. About a year ago, the probe retreated from the Sun by more than 20 billion kilometers and continues to be removed.

However, last week there was one more significant event. After 37 years, NASA engineers managed to launch spare engines in a short-term mode, using code, whose age is already outdated not only morally. It is expected that Voyager 1 will continue to move for at least another 8 years. On its board is a gold plate, which indicates the location of our planet.
