The debut successful flight of Aquila from Facebook

An unmanned aerial vehicle named Aquila, developed by the company, safely performed its first successful flight.

In general, the flight duration was four minutes without two minutes. It all ended with a completely successful landing. For the device for the distribution of the Internet Aquila, this test was the second.

Unfortunately, the debut flight was overshadowed by an unsuccessful landing, when the UAV sharply went down and, as a result, damaged the wing. The developers modified the original version, “rolling” it with spoilers on the wings and a horizontal propeller, which allows you to make a softer landing.

A solar-powered UAV distributes a stable Internet, thanks to its incredibly low flight speed.
